About me
I can often be found at crystallography conferences in Italy. In 2005, I attended the 20th Congress of the International Union of Crystallography in Florence, Italy. This is the pulpit in Santa Maria Novella from which Galileo was condenmed as a heretic. Turns out he was right, and now he's buried across town in Santa Croce, but his middle finger rests in Florence's History of Science Museum, making a final statement.
In 2007, I traveled to Erice, Sicily, to take part in the 39th Course of the International School of Crystallography on crystal engineering.
I am a huge Red Sox fan. I witnessed the Reverse Of The Curse firsthand. Now I can die in peace - even though I had to witness the Yankess clinch the American League East in 2005 at Fenway Park.
