Using Internet Explorer (version 7 or later) If you are using Internet Explorer (version 7 or later), some of the calculators on this site will not work properly unless you add the domain https://faculty.vassar.edu to your list of Trusted Sites. To do this, open the Tools menu and click the item labeled Internet Options. Then click the tab labeled Security, select the item labeled Trusted Sites, and click the button labeled Sites. The text https://faculty.vassar.edu should appear in the text box adjacent to the Add button. Clicking the Add button will add the domain https://faculty.vassar.edu to your list of Trusted Sites. The final step is to click the link https://faculty.vassar.edu/lowry/VassarStats.html to reload the VassarStats site in a version that Internet Explorer regards as secure. Please be sure to bookmark the site in this secure version (the leading text of the URL should be "https," not just "http"). If you prefer not to tinker with security settings, an effective alternative would be to retire Internet Explorer and work instead with Firefox or Safari, both of which can be downloaded free of charge. |
