I recently served as a co-organizer for a three-day conference focusing on new perspectives on the social and cultural history of the inquisition and/or the extirpation of indigenous devotional practices in Mexico, Peru, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands. This conference took place on February 8-10, 2008, and was hosted by Professor John Chuchiak of Missouri State University.
